Gatwick Airport is 30 minutes from central London via the non-stop Gatwick Express, and has rail links to destinations all around the UK.

Gatwick Airport is 30 minutes from central London via the non-stop Gatwick Express, and has rail links to destinations all around the UK.

The railway station is linked directly to the South Terminal, and is a few minutes from the North Terminal by free transit shuttle. There are rail information and ticket desks and in the arrivals areas of both terminals as well as in the station.

Frequent coach services connect Gatwick with more than 400 UK towns and cities. Most coach services are not wheelchair-accessible but will carry wheelchairs for passengers who can board the vehicle unaided. Most services operate from the lower South Terminal forecourt. Some also call at North Terminal (on the lower level outside international arrivals).


Gatwick Express

Gatwick Express is the fastest rail link between the airport and central London. Non-stop trains run to and from London Victoria every 15 minutes and take 30 minutes (35 minutes on Sundays).

Tickets can be bought in the terminals, at the station, or onboard at no extra cost.

First Capital Connect

Trains run every 15 minutes to Brighton (via Mid Sussex) and to Bedford via East Croydon, London Bridge, St Pancras International and Luton. Services to King's Lynn, Peterborough and Cambridge leave from St Pancras International.


Northbound trains run to London Victoria via East Croydon and Clapham Junction, and to London Bridge via East Croydon. Southbound services run to Brighton, Eastbourne, Portsmouth and Southampton.

First Great Western

Services run to Redhill, Guilford and Reading. Money-saving Gatwick Flyaway fares are available.


There are National Express ticket desks in the North and South Terminals. Tickets for most other services can be booked in advance with the coach operator or bought on board.

easyBus to London

A low-cost frequent airport transfer service non-stop from London and Gatwick with prices from £2. Buses depart every 15 minutes at peak times and run throughout the day and night from both North and South terminals to Earls Court/West Brompton in central London.

National Express services

The UK's largest operator of scheduled coach services runs frequent direct services from both North and South Terminal to many places in the UK.

Gatwick to Oxford link, running hourly during the day.
